Ensuring your company is secure should be a core activity within your organisation. There is little point all the other functions of the company working together to make great products if they get hijacked en route to market. If criminals attack your premises and steal your finished products or vandalise your workplaces, what are you going to sell to your customers and where are your staff going to go to work?
If your people experience life threatening events whilst travelling on business, will their colleagues be so keen to travel on the company’s behalf. Worse still, would you really want to explain to a family or to the media why you failed to identify a manageable risk or to put countermeasures in place to protect your employees?
These are all good reasons why you need an effective Corporate Security function – making sure your facilities are there tomorrow for your staff to come to work in and ensuring that your staff are safe during the time you hold a duty of care towards them.
